Home work not done well on LOKPAL bill

The much awaited Lokpal bill was finally failed to be passed in the parliament due to series of issues from Opposition and allies of Congress. Many critics believe the homework that need to be done for Lokpal was not done up to the mark and added to that pressure from Anna's team has destabilized the government thinking which finally lead to a bill which failed utterly.
In the recent screening of "Amartya Sen: A Life Reexamined", a documentary on him. Amartya Sen said that the anti-graft legislation is not well thought out. "I do not think personally the Lokpal Bill, as it came, is well thought out. Added to that Dr Sen, currently Professor of Economics and Philosophy at the Harvard University, said, "The solution to any problem of this kind has to solve it in the Indian context within the structure of our rule of laws and constitution and our democratic political system."
As the blame game over Lokpal still continues the prime opposition party, the BJP, has said that it would have supported the Constitution Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha had the government clarified on the contentious issue of the Lokayuktas. On the other hand Congress blaming BJP of complete lack of consistency between its stated intentions and professed actions while maintaining two stands one in Parliament and other outside.
With the current stand of government to pass the bill in Budget session, the Lokpal movement is tasting its winter blues.
