Peoples Democratic Party President Mehabooba Mufti had a verbal spat with her opponent Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over her praise of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, she claimed that she didnt praised Modi and its totally untrue. Quoting on the same Omar Abdullah said I'm not surprised that Mehbooba praised Modi, she can praise who ever she likes; I am surprised she'd deny it knowing others heard her speech. BJP Leader Sushma Swaraj metioned that Mehabooba has praised Modi during NIC meeting in New Delhi. Reacting sharply to accusation made by Swaraj, Mebooba said, It is very unfortunate that the leader of opposition in India has misquoted me and I am at loss to know reason for it. Adding to that she said  If BJP is so desperate to present somebodys speech in distorted manner, they are better off to quote old ally Farooq Abdullah for praise to Modi as he sees god in his eyes. Mehabooba said that Omar has no moral authority to speak against her. Omar Abdullah spends most of his time tweeting and recently said that he continued to work despite being disturbed in personal life. When Omar Abdullah was present in NIC meeting, why didnt he make a comment after 15-days? By this you can gauge what is true. Reacting to the above Omar tweeted  Why can't she just admit what she said rather than deny the whole thing. So much more graceful to accept rather than call Ms Swaraj a liar.  In reference to Mehboobas claim that he preferred silence over alleged massacre of Muslims in Gujrat, Omar said, Lest I forget Ms. Mufti the record in parliament will show how I voted on the resolution abt (about) Gujarat riots even though I was a minister.
